CMS-Expo Usability Testing Report

The guys at CMSExpo.net organize professional events for Joomla (and other CMS systems next year). The organizers of these events, John and Linda Coonen, are professional Web designers so my expectations were high. They didn’t disappoint.

John asked me to perform three tasks.

Tasks:

1. Find the agenda.

2. Purchase a ticket to the CMS expo.

3. Learn about the sponsors.

Video summary and suggestions:

1. The site is beautiful and well organized.
2. The tag line is hard to read.
3. The text on the agenda is too small.
4. A call to action is missing at the end of session details.
5. A link to the speaker’s website is missing.
6. Some of the photos could look better.
7. The Terms & Conditions pop up shows an error.
8. After the registration confirmation, I receive the registration page. It would be best to remove the “Continue” button or give me other options.
